If you or a loved one is facing a difficult situation, I invite you to join the Franciscan Friars in praying The Nine Thursdays Novena in Honor of St. Jude.

As the Patron Saint of Difficult Situations, St. Jude knows exactly how to help us, even if his miracles arrive in ways we never expected. To make the seemingly impossible become possible, we only need to pray to him!

The Nine Thursdays Novena in Honor of St. Jude is prayed every Thursday from August 27 through October 22, ending with a Mass in honor of St. Jude on his Feast Day, October 28.

By signing up, you will receive a beautiful St. Jude-inspired reflection on each day of the Novena—directly in your inbox!

You will also receive:

A Video Reflection on St. Jude: On October 27, enjoy a thoughtful video by me, Fr. David Convertino, OFM, that will honor St. Jude and reflect on the kindness and faith grandparents instill in us, the quiet love they provide, and the ordinary moments of simple care that mean so much.

St. Jude Feast Day Mass: On October 28, you will receive a special invitation to join the Franciscan Friars for a 12 p.m. Mass in celebration of St. Jude’s Feast Day. Enjoy a virtual seat in the front pew of our St. Francis Chapel on West 31st Street in New York City! Be sure to bring your intentions for you and your loved ones. Together, we will honor the Patron Saint of Difficult Situations and pray for his intercession.

I hope you’ll sign up to join the Franciscan Friars in prayer for The Nine Thursdays Novena in Honor of St. Jude. We’d be delighted if you joined us, and if you’d consider making a financial gift to honor them and support the ministries of the friars.

Through your generosity, the friars are able to walk with the poor, the homeless, and those suffering on the margins of society. And something more happens: Your prayer brings dignity to those who feel invisible. Your compassion connects the vulnerable to helpful resources. Your faith restores hope in those who feel lost.
